During food prep, hands are often wet, greasy, or full — exactly when a standard round knob is hardest to grip and adjust safely. Desliz Faucet rethinks the faucet control around that moment, aiming for something both general users and people with limited hand strength or dexterity can operate by feel alone.
A rotatable click-knob with a non-slip textured grip replaces the fiddly twist valve, while a slide rail with an extended arm lets the spout reach further across a wider sink or larger items. Two water patterns are built into one head, and a temperature indicator ring — red for hot, blue for cold — makes the mode readable at a glance, without looking down or guessing by touch.
The design was shaped through usability scenarios and hands-on testing, using clear design semantics so the controls guide a user's actions through intuition rather than instruction. The body ships in aluminum, in silver or matte black finishes, and the concept was shortlisted for the iF Design Award 2023.
