GOAL
AvanceLED is a light manufacturer based in Spain, focusing on professional LED products and lighting solutions. As a trusted partner in general lighting, we look forward to building a strong image online for long-standing customer rapport and popular sales.

We aim to provide borderless e-commerce by allowing consumers, retailers, and primary stakeholders’ requirements to cross in between. Striving to meet a better interface solution and satisfy the business needs on our platform.





BRANDING IDENTITY

This e-commerce platform for selling lighting fixtures needs to consider the user journey through the website, as well as whether the branding identity design can differentiate itself from competing manufacturers in the market and reflect a concise, professional corporate image related to electrical engineering.

While creating the sales platform’s design, the main challenge was considering and comprehending the brand’s tone and implementing the UI following the experts' needs and vision.

ROLE
As a product designer, we must study and observe user behavior, propose optimization directions that meet the team's goals, maintain a high degree of aesthetics, and work closely with the team to serve as a bridge in between our company and the brand.

DIFFICULTY
When we built the menu module, we found that it was easier for individual customers to recognize a product image for the category.  However, we needed to solve the problem of loading speed as the user hit the menu primarily and reduce the drop rate.

Another concern was creating a UI according to users' portraits described by the clients. The website allows users to search for lighting products and prices by major categories and professional memberships.


IMPACT
In this case, diverting between retail customers and agents was our main goal of developing, such as membership prices, product specification sheets, related electronic material downloads, display interface information columns, and prices, via diversity devices and the need to make distinctions... etc.

Eventually, we practiced our goal by constantly testing, iterating, and communicating with the management and technical staff on feasible interface optimization solutions, and tested design elements back and forth, including repurchase rate, conversion rate, registration rate, click rate, and bounce rate... and quantified various user data through our backend.

The website has a simplified functionality and concise interface that makes it intuitive, at the same time, consists of aesthetics in every corner for all kinds of devices.
TAKE AWAY...

When I was in a small company, luckily I could work closely with product owners/engineers/stakeholders and promote the vision of design, processes, and co-creation. While we were developing the E-commerce page with the team, I was able to admit my mistakes and rethink the feedback and tasks which led the teams to a quality result, both in the deliverable and in its process.

Eventually makes me not only a coordinator but also a good communicator across domains, being initiative, proactive, and autonomous to turn out the best results with the team.
